Europe in a Backpack
Three days in New York City were amazing. Even though we have already walked so far, it doesn't even feel like it with everything to see. I am not much for following the tourist path, however on sunday we did just that. Started the day off with a long subway ride to downtown where we took in the World Trade Center Memorial and then moved on to Wall Street, Ellis Island, and Central Park. It is kinda funny to see so many new yorker's revel in the fact that it is a nice day and they use every chance they can to lay on a small patch of grass. Later that evening, we had a nice treat when we went to jeremy's apartment, he was lucky enough to have a rooftop deck in Brooklyn allowing the most amazing view of the city during sunset. When I was younger, I always wanted to live in the city. Now that I look at it though, I prefer the suburbs much more. There are just too many people in the city and although it brings much more energy to the atmosphere, it also makes everyone more callous. New York is an amazing place and was the perfect way to start off the trip we are taking. Now we move on, a new day and a new city. London is calling.
