Europe in a Backpack
We arrived in prague today a little after 7pm. The second we stepped off the train we could tell we were in Eastern Europe. It felt like communism only left yesterday from this place. But as soon as we reached the city center it was a completely different feeling. This city is very beautiful. The nightlife is very crowded. For dinner we decided to splurge since the everything is so cheap here. Everything is underground in this city so we walked into this restaurant that looked like catacombs. We ordered so much food (all by pointing because we couldn't pronounce any of the food and the waiters did not speak english). We started with some fried mushrooms stuffed with some kind of cheese, then potato soup, then the entrees alone were huge platefuls. It was so delicious and when we paid the bill the waiter asked if it was alright to take the money. I guess it was a ridiculous tip because we couldn't figure out the exchange rate. After doing the math, we gave the guy like 25%. Oh well, it was like 20 dollars for both of us and the meal was huge. After dinner, we had to walk around for awhile to settle our stomach's. So we went to charles bridge (pictured with entry) and the atomic clock. It was really cool to see at night. Anyways, It is late and time for bed. Good Night.
Love, Cole and Chris
