we arrived in Franz Josef on 9th may. this is a tiny little village set in the southern alps where people to come and view or walk up the glacier. The picture is of Fox Glacier which is 10mins away. I have spent the last week in Christchurch. From nelson we travelled throught the Nelson Lakes national park where we stopped for a walk around the lake. it was a really clear day so the reflection on the lake was perfect of the mountains surrounding it. from here we drove to Westport whch was really dull and only a stop for people to be able to do ativities on the buller gorge. The ferry journey across from Wellington to Picton is supposed to be a really pretty journey, however my crossing was wet and misty so i couldnt see anything. The last week i have spent in Wellington. On sat i went on a Lord of the Rings tour around the Wellington area. There were only three of us on the tour so was a nice small group.
