G'day everybody, yet another entry I know they're coming thick an fast, were tryin to cram everything in before Sydney so plenty of reading for you all!!
We left the sunny clear skies of Hervey Bay behind us and headed to a very stormy Noosa Heads. Noosa is very similar to Mandurah in West Australia - being a quaint and sleepy town, which was really nice and more upmarket than Airlie beach and Hervey Bay. As we arrived we hadn't booked any accommodation so visited an information booth, the lady informed us that all hostels and motels were booked up! Fortunately she had a few things available at a slightly higher price, this included our eventual accommodation - Grantley Apartments and we were glad we chose it!
We turned up at our accommodation and it was exactly how we would want our house to be - completely open plan with the upstairs overlooking the lounge and dining room it was gorgeous and the comfiest bed in the world. All of which complimented by our own pool and spa. After our overwhelming luxury we decided to go to visit Steve Irwins Australia Zoo for the day, this was really impressive mainly in the way of crocs, alligators and snakes - all of which Steve Irwin had actually captured - most he claimed for survival in the wild or for conservation. We had a really good time here, got to see a brilliant croc show where they fed the last living dinosaurs in front of us all, the guys doing it looked really scared!!
Shell finally got to do her dream and hold a koala bear - which I would like to point out that I won for her, by way of my superior intelligence. The chap at the croc show was asking the audience questions to win vouchers to have your photo taken with alligators, snakes or koalas and super Dan got it right - even though it was probably the most difficult of questions I have ever come across - what is the fastest land animal - after much scratching of my head I exclaimed Cheetah! Subsequently winning the prize and admiration of Michelle!
After our wildlife trip we had a nice meal on the main street in Noosa and had a few beers back at our gorgeous apartment. We headed back to the centre the following day to catch the bus to our next destination... Brisbane!
Hope you have all sent your letters to Santa and you have been good this year love always x x x Dan and Shell x x x
