Day 3 on the canal boat
Today we reached Aigues-Mortes, where we met a couple from Perth. They told us that they own their boat, which they keep in France so that they could use every year. Mum and Dad said that they could imagine doing this in their retirement.
We walked along the walls of this fortress town (Aigues -Mortes), which was built a long time ago to show the power of the people there. It was really annoying because the walls seemed to go on forever and there were no exits so we had to walk the whole way round in the exhausting heat. It was once again boiling hot, so we got an ice-cream. Yum!
We then started our canal journey back towards Agde.
That night we reached Frontignan very late and moored there, waiting for the bridge to open up in the morning. The bridge only opens twice a day and you have to time it right to pass through.
It was a really hot day but it was fun!
