Yes! Woke up today to bluish skies!
Caught the tram from near the apartment across the river to the top of the Prague Castle then followed a self guided walk down through the castle grounds and ended up in a vineyard on the hillside for a wine overlooking the river and old town. Then a walk around the lesser town near the castle and across one if the bridges to the old town (Charles Bridge still closed as river still high but not rising any more).
Found our way to pub where they only serve jugs of one type of beer and nothing else (except food) - open 3pm to midnite and tables all booked out after 5pm - we got there at 4.30pm so had a quick beer each and left
Then found a wine and cheese bar in the back streets just when we needed a drink?? (again!!).
Eventually walked all the way back to near the train station (underground subway closed due to state if emergency re floods) then a tram to the main train station. Bought tickets for trip to Cesky Krumlov tomorrow and worked out how to get to the station in the morning to catch early train
Dinner at an Italian restaurant up the hill to cap off a great day
Prague is a grand city of magnificent buildings and intriguing cobbled side lanes where you discover something new at every turn. We are really enjoying it
