Tomorrow will be a whole year since I arrived in New Zealand. Thats crazy! I have had an amzing year... Sure, it's not all been roses and marshmallows but life isn't like that and it doesn't matter where you go or what you do. I am realising that in my 25 years on this planet I have done SO much, and I know that there's a lot more I can do, I'm just not totally sure what that is at this moment in time! Right now, I am trying to decide not the rest of my life but simply the next step... But instead of spending this whole blog explaining what I don't know what will happen in the future, I'm going to tell you what I've been up to recently!
So, I think everyone that reads this knows that I was back in the UK for a few weeks and man alive those weeks were crazy busy!! It was awesome seeing everyone and I loved being back with good clothes shops, pear cider and Hollyoaks!! The best time though was going up to Shetland to be bridesmaid for Alison and Ronnie. The lead up week for the wedding was ver busy with trying on dresses, making decorations, putting up decorations, making food (including icing a cake! Not the wedding cake though thank god!!), and a whole host of other preparations! It was a fabulous week though and the fact that we'd done it ouselves made the day really special.
Since I've been back in Auckland, I've moved into a new apartment with a friend from work, and I've worked LOTS. Works going great actually, I was supervising for Apollo 13 which is an interactive show based on the actual events of the mission, and the audience (or most of anyway) are seated at the consoles of mission control with working telephones, tv monitors, switches, headsets etc and its their job to bring the astronauts home safely. It's a fabulous show and I feel really lucky to have worked on it - plus the cast are awesome which always makes my job that little bit easier!
Next, apart from this whole decision making process which is ongoing, I'm hoping to just keep earning the money so that I can actually see some of this awesome country... more Couchsurfing required me thinks!!
Take care people and I'll write again soon! xx
