So I need to upload photos because this dumb blog makes me pick a picture each time I write a new blog and they only have three from Argentina. I guess I'll just choose random pictures until I have my own. so lame.

I sat in a cafe today by myself for two hours and read the national newspaper. I feel like I am probably more aware of U.S. politics here. There is always a full page that is dedicated to foreign affairs and usually most of it is from the U.S. It is crazy how aware of the U.S. the rest of the world is. It makes me feel stupid because I didn't even know who the president of Argentina was until I came here. It is a women actually, Cristina Kirchner, which is kind of cool. She looks more like an ex model though than a president, with the fake lip injections and botox. Looks are extremely important here. They are number two in the world for number of eating disorders. Just try finding normal sized jeans. It's not very easy.

I need to make a list of the things I want to do here, otherwise I'm afraid November is going to roll around and I'll realize all the things I still haven't done. So i'll start a small one here.

-Go to as many museums as I can

-Find falafal and hummus

-rent a house on the Tigre river for a weekend

-Eat churros with hot chocolate

-go to a musical

-try ridding Carlos's bike to school

-have a picnic at the river

-travel to Córdoba, various places in Patagonia, Mendoza, Mar del Plata, Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Chili, Uruguay- this might be hard to fit in

-eat sushi in the park

-stay out until 9 and then get breakfast (not unusual here)

-make dinner for Christina and Carlos

Well that's a start anyways.
