Today was my first official day of class. Right now we are in a month of grammar before the actual university classes start. My class was supposed to be from 9:30-2:30, but the class I was put in was too easy so I was switched to an 11:00 class. It didn't end until 4 so I was there for an extra hour and a half. Then I proceeded to get lost on the train again, this time going the wrong way. It doesn't seem like it would be so hard to take the train one way on the way to school and one back, but clearly it is for me. Both sides look exactly the same haha. Then when I figured out the problem my friend and I disagreed, so we stayed on and finally realized we were going to Retiro ( the opposite direction) also in Retiro you have to put your ticket through a machine in order to get out, but we never bought a ticket. We realized though that the train just goes back the other way, so we stayed on unnoticed. What an eventful afternoon.
I just got back from another run by the river. The city on the river looks so pretty when the sun begins to set. Although the river appears pretty, it's too polluted from the city to swim in. It does seem peaceful though and clears my head. It's so weird how much it feels like an Iowa fall here. I felt like I was running during cross country during the fall when the leaves turn colors and the air is crisp.
I wish i was speaking more spanish though. My head should hurt more right now. I need to stop taking advantage of english. Pamela, one of our coordinators sent us some volunteer options, so that might be a good way to help while improving my spanish.
Tonight I'm going to tango lessons : ) and I have some homework to do. yuck. Homework in June? Can you believe it? And it's cold!!!!
