This morning I did a little more searching for places to live. The job outlook is at a standstill, most folks around here say it takes around 2 weeks to find out, and they only let you know if you got the job. Talk about sitting and waiting.

Went to Copper mt today, not to ski either, snow shoe race baby! The weather was about 45 degrees at race time 11:00 my time. The race had about 50 people in it. started off on a ski trail for less than 1/4 mile. Then off into the colorado wilderness we went. There was no trail, we just followed snowshoe tracks in front of us.Up into the knee to waste deep fluffy powder. My running up only lasted about 20 min, then the power hiking set in. I would have to hike the steep parts and then run the more gradual parts. finally we started go down hill, it was a blast. The snow flying up and around me as i tried to run down the hill. the snow was so deep and light it was hard to maintain my balance and i fell once and had trouble getting up for the more i pushed the deeper my hand sunk. There was this one little drop off where you got to jump off a rock a float a little in the air before landing on the cushion of snow. The raced finished on the groomed trail we ran up to start the race. You would think i would be able to sprint down it, but the altitude would not allow me to go much faster than the momentum of the hill would take me. 95% of the race was uphill. The base of the mountain was at 9600 ft. This is what i am here for. Best part so far.

Tomorrow i am going to ski though. It is time, i am sick of this waiting around for a job and place to live thing. Going to live the dream tomorrow baby!
