Today i got on the bus and noticed out of the corner of my eye these two girls looking at me and snickering between themselves. At first I just figured it was just the normal thing of girls checking me out and all, nothing special it happens all the time! haha! but then they wouldnt stop so i was forced to look at them. Turns out i knew them and they went to UNH with me and played on the soccer team. Small world, come 2000 miles away to see 2 girls i graduated college with who are doing the same thing i was doing! Cool eh. Also met a kid who graduated UNH the same year as me and is teaching ski school today! Didnt know him, but a lot of people come up to me with my NH name tag and Pats hat on wondering more about it.
Then...i was helping a lady onto the t-bar on the bunny slope and she says "Excuse me Nate, did you just eat lunch?" It being like 3:00 i was kinda shocked and quickly wiped my face and asked her if i got the food off, she then said i had nothing on my face and laughed saying " Just noticed you forgot to take the toothpick out of your mouth after you ate." Fortunately she was gone up the mountain before i had a chance to explain.
Also people keep asking me what NH is known for? Anyone got something.
Today was the coldest day so far-it was -6 this morning, but it warms up fast as soon as that sun comes over the mountains.
I have been running the t-bar platter which is pretty fun, because a lot of people who have never skied before go on it, and you stay busy trying to help the people stay on or even get on without falling and being dragged because they do not want to let go.
At the mountain right now is the Mountain Dew tour, professionals from all around the country are competing doing jumps and a half pike! It is pretty cool, all the people you see on TV and the Olympics are in town. Ran into a few of them, but I do not know many, but my friends know them all so they get all excited and stuff!
Have monday, tuesday, and weds off! so i will be skiing when there are the least amount of people on the mountain.
Well ta ta for now
and until i write again, imagine something cool i could be doing!
Enjoy
Billy (short for hillbilly, one of the many names i have gotten here)
