Hola! It´s day 9 here in Costa Rica and the last few days have been absolutely crazy, very tough and extremely challenging! On Sunday we met up with our i-to-i rep Nikki, who collected us and the other volunteers from the airport and took us all back to a hostel in Alajuela. Buenas Dias! It´s day 5 here in Costa Rica and we are slowely shaking off the jet lag and getting used to the hot and humid weather. We´ve had a fun couple of days both relaxing at the hostel and down at the beach. Today has been our second day in San Jose, Costa Rica and we have succeeded in experiencing our first ´torrential down pour´ and (in typical tourist style) we had no umberella and had forgotten to take our stylish rain macks with us, so we were completely soaked through! Hola! We have arrived in San Jose! Two flights and lot´s of sleep deprivaton later! Although the flights were long, and very boring...lot´s of rubbish films, trashy tv and horrible food, we did get to see the New York Skyline as we flew into Newark International airport and, as you can imagine it was amazing!
