From Dampier we spent one night on the road at the Nanutarra Road House then left around 7am the next morning arriving in Exmouth about 10.30am.
We booked in at the Ningaloo Reef Resort CV Park had an off season price of $46 a night with a special stay 4 nights pay for 3.
Exmouth is a great place, the gateway to the Ningaloo Reef & finally some relief from the hot weather there is a beautiful breeze most nights.
We drove out to the west side of the peninsula & back to the place Tric & I stayed at in 98' called Lakeside, you can't camp here anymore after the place was decimated after the Cyclone but the snorkelling here is amazing, we then drove further around to Turquoise Bay rated the 2nd best beach in Aust & in the top 25 in the world.
The drift snorkelling here is great, we saw a lot of beautiful coral & reef fish & also 2 big reef Sharks!
We were about to go back to the beach when Tric spotted a big turtle, we all followed it about for 5 or 6 min,it didn't take any notice of us at all, it's really like being in another world when snorkelling the Reef, amazing!!!
