Today I woke up in the bedroom of the families niece Ana. After a crazy night we woke up at 2 in the afternoon, I looked out the window where I could see the amazing view of the beach and the island of Gibraltar simply fabulous. We were asked if we would like some paella as she was going to the shop to buy the fresh ingredients. This is why I love Spain, everything is so thought out and fresh. So as we were waiting, Ana went outside picked some oranges from the orange tree and made fresh Orange juice! Simple! When her mum returned I helped prepare the paella, I was so excited that I was making paella and would be eating it for the first time! Whilst the food was cooking, the mum and daughter decided to let me hear some Spanish music and dancing before I knew it the smell of paella cooking and the flamenco dancing was so surreal I was living the typical Spanish life! We ate the dinner with the family who were so friendly, I laughed so much at the English/Spanish jokes and how the children totally slagged their mum about her English accent. After dinner we went to the beach to meet some of her friends from the following night, we played with the ball in the sea and some card games on the beach. We returned home about 8 o'clock where the antics of the night before were soon catching up I was so tired! Ana had told me to watch game of thrones so we watched the first episode until my family came to pick me up. When the came we ate lots pizza together, spoke about my day and took lots of pictures. This has been an amazing day and a day I'd never even imagine myself having. It is the once in a life time opportunities like this that make being away from home worth it.
