A lot more narrow but extremely winding roads over 2 passes were conquered today.
We stopped at Klosters, to view a fast flowing waterfal created from melting snow. John spotted a cable car and thought about going for a ride - but again forgot we were in Switzerland and the cost of such joys.
Davos a lovely town set in a valley with a beautifully deep blue lake, the Davoser See. We sat by the lake to have lunch before heading off to the first pass through the mountains - Fluelapass - 2383m above sea level.
We stopped so often to view waterfalls, patches of snow & a gorgeous lake where two people were fishing. The mountains through this pass were over 3000m high and exceptionally rugged with rocky peaks.
Saint Moritz also had a lovely lake in the centre of town. Lots of wealth everywhere. This alpine town/city was not very pretty - too many building, not enough green.
The mountains here stood even taller and there was more snow visible near the top of the peaks. The drive through Julierpass - 2284m above sea level was treacherous, with many hairpin bends and steep climbs & descents. The mountains were mostly green and lush with cows & horses grazing beside the snow fed streams.
Today was onother great day & the drive back to Kirchberg was OK with little traffic on the autobahns, seeing as we returned at about 7:15pm.

Angela Callea Good to see you were really there not just sitting at home hiding from us all and posting pictures from the net.
