Not too much tourist type activity happened today. We went for a classic American breakfast at a Denny's! Those Americans know how to eat. Pancakes with everything including a fried breakfast! Was delicious and made me fat enough to not need a belt for my jeans!
We went to Union Square for a shopping trip. I'm not much of a shopper on holiday so was just following people, but did see some interesting things. Union Square is a beautiful spot in the middle of buildings that make you feel so small, yet you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere because of how chilled out it is. People sat on the grass reading or just watching the city pass by. If that's not your cup of tea, there are lots of people wanting money and putting on shows. My favourite was the buckets and pans drummer man!
We took the iconic cable car back to our hotel. You can feel them struggle to climb the hill, but on the way downthey scare you with the noise the brakes make! There only a few of the original cars left after the fires from the earthquake, but they must be tried if you go.
