What an amazing first couple of days! The flight was forever but had a huge selection of films so can't complain.
We started with a walk along the coast, views if Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. Always thought the island was far away, buts closer than I thought, although still far off the shore.
We went into Fishermans Wharf next. Straight to Pier 39 that has the sealions. They were a joy to watch! A couple at the back playing. Not letting the other come out of the water. Had some lunch at Bubba Gumps, the shrimp place from Forrest Gump. Not a fan of shrimp but the food was gorgeous and the staff very friendly! Ended the night with a few drinks at a very empty bar with an ice cube fight!
Day 2 started not so good. The time difference really messes up your sleep! Went for a walk and nearly fell asleep standing upright!! We went to the main shopping area at Union Square. With all this sun, it looks beautiful there! Went to The Cheesecake Factory and going back in the week to have my cake! We took the famous and iconic cable car back up to our hotel. Can really feel the speed picking up goin downhill!! Scares you a little but in a good, exciting way! After a well needed short nap we went for food at Mel's. A jukebox at every table with classic American songs on and some of the most gorgeous food I have ever tasted!! Off to a club after to see a small gig. It was an amazing night!! Not sure how I managed to stay awake, but I did and had a great time!
