Yet another incredible day! Went off to Alcatraz today. It's bloody cold on The Rock so take a jacket! It doesn't feel like a tourist attraction. It still feels like a prison even though a lot of walls are missing. There is an audio tour as you walk through the cells with ex guards talking about their time there, including the escape attempt where three men have still not been found and the riot that needed marines to come and help! What an amazing first couple of days! The flight was forever but had a huge selection of films so can't complain. We started with a walk along the coast, views if Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance.
