Tuesday 5.02.08

I awake earlyish to go to MSAC and assist a teacher called Paul, he is a great teacher and its good to learn different techniques to better my teaching. Over here they have this concept called 'Breathe Arm Bubble Arm' and it is a rather good way to teach so I will bring that one home with me!!

In the afternoon I had my 'Global Induction' which shows you all round the centre and its pretty amazing!! I saw all the facilities the six pools, (although sadly we were unable to experience the water slide) two gyms, health centre, massage chair rooms, squash, basketball, netball, table tennis...the place is huge!! I met our General Manager also, a dark stallion!! Rather sexy!! As I and another teacher Lucy agreed!!

In the evening, Harry cooks for me (for once) and we have steak, mash and carrots!! Yummy...getting my 5-A-day in where possible! We then watched the ultimate night of Australian TV, with the most awesome programme called Gossip Girl which is a really b****y series...its great! Then Burn Notice and finally The Biggest Loser...goodness me I didnt realise Aussie could ever be that HUMONGOUS!!! I finsih off with Peep Show that I watch with Tom on his laptop, it makes me giggle thoughout!! SO a very lazy evening of exciting TV!!

Wednesday 05.02.08 - Out for Dinner

Work again today...sadly, I want to be lazy and have more sleep!! I assist an adult class with Liz and it goes really well. Adults are always hard to teach because they think they no everything, and that they will be able to get everything instantly!! Note to them...you dont and that is why you look like a drowning rat when you swim!! The later class is great though and they really listen and try. And I feel like Liz has more respect for me as a teacher now as well, as she sees i know what i'm talking about as i have swum all my life!! I then cover another teacher and the classes are great as they are all little and I can have fun with them!!

I dash home after work, as Adam has invited me, Jamie and Aaron to a meal this his parents and borther who have come over for a holiday!! His parents are lovely, they are really chatty and its nice to be treated like my mummy and daddy do!! I have the most amazing steak sandwich and chips with.............garlic mayo...ahhhh it was so appreciated!! I love it!! I have garlic with every meal here!!!! We chat more and then head home and I think more about my plans for travelling!!

Thursday 07.02.08

I am up early...again!! Grrrrr! And I assist a Waterbabies class!! I absolutely loved it though...it made me want a baby...but only for like 10seconds when I then remembered a small boy called Zak Parish...no babies for me thankyou. I sing lots and lots of songs and learn a few rhymes too...did anyone know there was actually a second verse to 'Ring-a-Ring a Roses'???!! I didn't!! And its so nice to see the babies laughing in the water as their parents blast them into the air!! I really want to get qualified to do it in England when I get back!! My face was so sore from smiling when I got home!

I grab a sandwich and it is so yummy...chicken, tomato, avacado, ah it was gorgeous! So worth the $7! I then chill out with the lads watching tv!! All they ever bloody do!! We are going out tonight so I have a sleep in the afternoon...I love sleep!! I make myself beautiful when I wake...shave my gorilla like legs and straighten the hair!! I was so embarrassed however, I went up to Charlie and Tom's room to do my hair looking positively minging...huge blow dried hair and walk in to find loads of people ready and drinking!! Oh dear!!! so i run for cover in Charlie's room and get to the straightening!! After that I start to look better, makeup, and clothing...sorted and looking rather better if i do say so myself!! I then join everyone else on the boozing!! Its awesome as there are lots of people to chat to.

We then hit the club...BILLBOARD...and its awesome from the moment we walk in!! Cheap drink, great music, lots of podiums to get up and dance on!! I amd set!! After several more drinks feeling a little merry, and we dance the night away!! I see the other coaches as well and sady they now think I am a druken party queen...but it was all fun!! I again get told to get down from the sofa oh dear!! The girlies and I take lots of photos and have fun times happy snapping!! We finally hit bed at about 5am...and the room is spinning!! oh charlotte!!

Friday 08.02.08

Detox day...lots of water, a foot long subway sandwich and a large coke!! Awesome!! Georgie, Livi and I do leave the apartment with last nights makeup, hoodies and pyjamas still on!! Sexy!!! We get a lot of odd stares!! We spend the rest of the night remembering the hilarious antics of the previous night!! Yes I did fall flat on my rear end when attempting to walk down the stairs!! I must have looked like such a fool!! We snooze and watch!! Giggling about funny things...!

In the evening I marinate chicken and tidy up the apartment from the night before, so many bottles god those boys drink a lot!! I then take out the rubbish and bloody lock myself out!! I want to cry...all my dinner is ready to through in the pan and i now have to wait for harry to get home!! which is at like 3am and I want to cry so much!! I am so tired and have to be up early...and I want my food!!! :( i go up to the boys and they laugh at me...I am not amused in the slightest!! However, my saviour strides home at 11 and i am so happy. I have my food but do not enjoy it as i have to force it down after the 4 slices of toast I had from the boys!!! Crash at 12!!

Saturday 09.02.08 - Aquarium

I have to be up early again...so early...so very early at 6:45...I then make my way to MSAC and have to take my own Waterbabies class with Lucy, the first class is a bit rusty but we are pros by the second!! Except this one child that is horrifically sick...but at least I was not holding him!!

I finish work at 12:30 and get home for a quick shower and egg on toast...forgot how good that meal is!! SO wish i had a dishwasher the washing up is getting so tedious!! I may buy one for university and charge people to use it!! I meet the girls at Fed Square and we walk along the river to the Aquarium...and we hit the Chinese New Year festival...lots and lots of stalls and displays so we bustle though and decide to visit after the aquarium...very excited we are finally doing something in the city (even though u can got o an aquarium anywhere in the world). And it is very pleasing...i get top use my student card and our 10% off vouchers! Wahey!!! We explore the underwater world and it is tres pleasing!! Lots of fish, these awesome sea dragon, turtle, and camoflauge fish to name a few. We also get very excited by the Nemo and Dori tank! The eels freak me out slightly! There are these cool glass domes also where you can go under the tank and you like like you are in the tank with a big astronaut helmet! Then we hit the huge oceanarium where we have the sharks, and the hugest sting rays!! They were my favourite!! There were also people scuba diving but i do not fancy that with the sharks!! We spent about an hour and a half looking at the fish...we could not take anymore fish!! SO left for the Chinese New Year Festival!!

This is exactly how i hoped the city to be, different things to do and lots of atmosphere!! We explored the stalls, plam reading, massage, chinese cultural sounveirs...however we only looked as we are money saving!! We were tempted to the Indian Curry, however felt a little rude as it was chinese new year!! We then found a stall where you can make hats for free...so exciting so we spent half an hour painting and felt tipping our hats until they looked amazing then got a lady to do some chinese writing!! We asked the lady to write Fairy Princess...Charlotte however the fairy princess looked different on each one therfore she was probably writing 'stupid blood poms!!'

We eventually left and looked very cool in our hats walking around the city!! Fun times, we made it home, I cooked Livi and Georgie dinner and Georgie does a shocker of a wash up so there is olive oil all over everything...god i am a clean freak!!!

Sunday 10.02.08 - St Kilda Festival

Today I wake up at 11 after an awesome night of sleep! And no work yay!!!! I speak to the girls and make my way to the St Kilda Festival...and it is absolutely heaving!! Thousands of people its great and a really nice day. I meet the girls and we wander down to the action. And finally we were able to appreciate the attractiveness of the Aussies!! And they are beautiful...!! We see whats on, three live music concerts, stalls, food, vollyball.. The girls both managed to get these awesome cowboy hats...however I am out of luck!! We first go and explore the main music festival...and it is awesome!! And all free! Sadly we do not know any of the music to sing along to but its just fantastic sitting in the sun surrounded by hundreds of people the atmosphere was buzzing!! We get some lunch...a souvlaki wrap it was very yummy...and greasy!! We then went for a wander at the stalls and we suddenly see some fantastic action. These guys chasing each other...the whole crowd follow...we think there is a festical when suddenly we see shouting swearing and arguing...we are following a fight!! The action moves on and we follow!!! Livi darting with her camera. Then suddenly there is glass and it gets a little scary!! But ends with the bouncers of a bar pulling the two apart!!! Very intense!! And the Aussies loved it they followed like a herd and we couldn't resist.

After our first Aussie scuffle...we head back to the stalls...sadly nothing like spain...I wanted some bracelts but they were not very nice and expensive!! We wander to the beach and watch a little vollyball, then on to the Wake Boarding arena, which was very impressive to see!! I got some great videos. We then headed to the pier and took some photos of the sea front!! It was such an awesome day!! I head home and make myself beautiful, cook up a salad and then head back to the festival for a night out!! And it is still packed with people!! We drink at the hostel the girls were originally at and meet lots of people from around the world. We then headed for the clubs which took us half an hour to get to because we chatted to so many people on the way, Aussies, Mexicans, Americans, Turks...such a variety of people!! We went to a club called Cushion which was sadly so expensive!! $20 to get in and $18 for a double vodka!! It was a bit of a flob as the music was too banging for us so we left in search of Pizza. We wlked past what looked like the most amazing pizza and the two 30 year olds welcomed us over to join them...free pizza, free wine and some great conversations!! They were from Canberra and had flown in for the cricket (clearly well off rich boys) but they were really lovely they asked us lots about our travels and england, and we quizzed them about where is good to go in Australia!! After about 4am, 3 bottle down we left for the beach front!! We all sat with our wine glasses (yes we naughtily ran off with them) and continued the party. I rolled down a hill and sadly have huge bruise to show for it!! At about half 5 we decided to call it a night although the two men wanted to join us...we declined and the trams had started up for the morning so I jumped on a tram to get home!! Fabulosa!! I was trying so hard not to fall asleep and felt a little silly being tipsey with all these people starting there Monday morning off to work... I found the best way was to count so by 700 and something I was nearly nodding off when I reached home!! And threw off my clothes and crashed!! Such a good day and night...this is what Melbourne is all about!!
