Joel had already gone to work when we got up early this morning, so we said to bye to Mandy and the kids and left their house by 8am.

We wanted to go to the Kingdom of Zion where the Lion Man is so we headed two hours north of Auckland and stopped once for diesel along the way. There was free wifi again in the petrol station so I took advantage of it and down loaded as many songs with lyrics as I could, which is unfortunate for Chris because now I can really sing along to the radio! If I wasn't sleeping on the long drives I was singing out loud on them lol!

It was pissing down with rain again so we wouldn't be visiting the park today. We stopped at the information centre in Whangeri to find out where the Blue Heron Holiday Park was. It looked really nice on a leaflet, right on the waterfront. It was a bit further away than we thought but we found it in the end and parked up at lunchtime.

It was a nice park and we got a plot looking out to sea, it's just a shame it was such a miserable day as it would have been nice to sit out and have lunch on one of the picnic tables. Oh well, we ate lunch and then curled up in bed instead and watched a movie. There is nothing to do when it's raining.

A few hours later we put some washing on and had dinner. It was still raining outside so we did nothing but watch DVDs all night while we waited for our clothes to wash and dry. When I went to collect them they were still damp! We had no more change so we decided to leave it in the machine over night until we could get some change tomorrow morning. I came back and we went to bed, it was still bloody raining!
