Chris made breakfast for me this morning. He attempted to cook runny eggs as good as the way I do them but broke both of his so I did my own. Mine both broke too so I think it was just the eggs lol.
After breakfast we drove towards Auckland, I wasn't feeling too well so we stopped after forty five minutes and pulled into Athenree Lavender Holiday Park in Waihi. So far it's the cheapest holiday park we have stayed in, only cost $24 for the night. As soon as we pulled in I spotted a little pony! I got out the camper van and ran straight over to see him, he was a stumpy little thing. Chris paid the park owner for the night then came over and joined me. The pony was licking my hand, it was cute but also disgusting lol. I asked the owner if I could feed him then grabbed a carrot out of the fridge. He loved it! Only then the owner warned us that he was very naughty and liked to nip people. After we stroked his big old Alsatian dog, he looked as old as the man did with blurry eyes and his skin was falling off! When we drove down and parked up the dog ran along the side of the camper like he was taking us to where we were going which was really sweet.
Once we were settled I went back to the reception to find out if there was wifi on the site so Chris could try contacting his friends in Auckland again. He told me the reception was freaky looking but I didn't realise how freaky until I saw it for myself. There were dolls everywhere I looked! They were covering all the walls, were sat on the reception desk and there were shelffuls too! They were old and dusty, the shop had a strong lavender smell too. It kind of looked like something out of a creepy movie lol. The lady and old man weren't around so I left pretty quickly. If the dolls were for sale it was a strange place to sell them, I'm pretty sure they don't get many customers because the park is so hidden in the forest, we almost missed the park completely.
When I got back to the camper I looked around at the other vans on site. There weren't any other Apollo vans or backpacking vans for that matter. Just old run down caravans with extensions built on so they had to be permanent residents. Then I noticed the plot next to us, there were fairies and nomes outside the caravan and a sign read 'p**** s Place'. Judging her on the look of the place, I would guess she's a bit weird, maybe a white witch. I didn't feel too well then so went back in with Chris, I went for a nap for two hours while he played on the iPad then cooked a tuna pasta bake. It was a nice surprise to wake up to, I love his pasta bakes! We hadn't eaten any lunch so decided to have an early dinner instead. We spent the rest of the evening listening to some music then connected the iPad to the tv and watched one of our films in bed.
