We got up at 5:45am this morning, packed our bags and left our room. We couldn't be bothered to cook this time so we decided to have the continental breakfast instead, which was toast and cereal. We only wanted the toast so we could have it with our yummy baked beans but we ate the cereal as well. Everyone had finished and were already checked out. Just as we were washing our plates we heard our names being called out, we turned around and saw our new guide standing there waiting for us. So we quickly grabbed our bags and hurried with him onto the bus where the others were already waiting. Suddenly Hillsey had to quickly run back to the hostel because he had forgotten a few belongings, then as he climbed back onto the bus he dropped and smashed a glass bottle he brought back with him! Everyone laughed, we have all come to know that Hillsey is a bit of a scatty head German who is always losing or forgetting something lol. That would be me if I was actually allowed to be responsible for anything, which is the reason why I'm not!
As we looked around the bus to see who was new we noticed two girls from a previous tour in the trip had joined the group again, which meant there was just one new girl, Amalie. PJ the guide asked us to all introduce our selves over his mic. It was a bit pointless because most of us knew each other by now from the previous tours, but it was still a bit fun because everyone was more confident now so was able to joke about with it.
Our first stop on the tour was to see some white kangaroos, then we stopped at a park to change buses and have lunch. There were slides and swings there and me, jasmine, Chris and Hillsey ran over like big children to play! We went on the slide then on the swings. Me and jasmine played twister while everyone waited for PJ to come back with our wraps for lunch. We had a quick stop at the border of south Australia and Victoria then went on to Mackenzie falls. It was a short walk down to the waterfall, we took a quick photo and walked back up. We spent 40 mins there, to be honest no one could really be bothered to go down there, we are all a bit fed up with hiking and waterfalls by now!! We drove to Reids lookout for sunset afterwards. It was only a 3min walk to the view point but it was freezing! Hillsey was only in shorts and t shirt! Idiot!! Chris got a photo standing right on the edge of the rocks, then we got one together but not on the edge!! We were freezing but watched the sunset anyway. Then Clinton and Chris pretended to throw jasmine over the edge of the rocks! We got back on the bus to warm up afterwards and went to some small cabins where we were staying for the night, I think it was called Arrawanga. Pj asked Chris if we were together and then put us in our own little house all to ourselves! It was really nice, we had a double bed with en suite bathroom, kitchen, bunk beds and our own fire place! Everyone else was sharing rooms and only one bathroom! We had a shower and got changed and went out for dinner at Halls gap hotel. We both had fish and chips which was really good. We went back to the house and had tea and Tim tams! We played a bit of Jenga around the fire then headed to bed. Our room was really cold so we put the fire on and decided to put the mattress on the floor next to the fire and sleep there, it was really cosey!!!
