Hello everyone,

We arrived safely in Bangkok. Flights were ok, we were an hour delayed taking off from heathrow so was a bit rushed getting through security in Mumbai but we made it on time nonetheless. We had 3x 3 course meals on the plane, all curries so we have been well and truly looked after.

We met I-to-I at the airport and got a transfer to the hotel in what only can be explained as an Austin Power style pimped up mini bus, diamontes and velvet everywhere, we know how to travel in style.

Arrived at the hotel and checked in before having a quick nap. We then went to have dinner in a bar/resturant on Koh San road (backpackers paradise). It is just as we expected, the hustle and bustle of many tourists and locals, the markets, shops, food stalls and spas.

We are due to meet the tour group tomorrow and head to some temples in bangkok before heading to Surin on Sunday.

Weather has been ok, few light showers but still very humid. Hopefully we have missed the worst of the moonson but we shall see.

Our phones are allowing us to send and recieve texts but having trouble calling ( I think they're just as jet lagged as we are!)

We will try and upload as many photos and blogs as we can as we go along.

Very excited to see what the rest of thailand has to offer us!
