Today was massive. We began our day with delicious tuna patties. While eating these patties we spoke of the previous nights events, which included Carli getting a fright while her and Bec were sleeping and flew into Bec's side of the tent and Bec woke suddenly and asked, "What's wrong?" Carli replied,"I saw a scary face." She then rolled over and went back to sleep. We were informed one of us was snoring very loudly. Carli also has trouble staying in one spot which is unfortunate for Bec as they are sharing a tent. We learnt no matter how soft the ground may seem, the longer you lay on it the harder it gets and so we will always use the air mattresses, from now on.
Carli's dad had to changea tyre so we observed and then Bec decided to find out where her jack is located. While looking through the car manuel, we discovered that the car actually has a fold out table in the back of it. Handy.
While driving to Rainbow Beach we saw four brumbies cross the highway in front of us. It was pretty special.
Rainbow Beach is stunning. We will put photos up soon, because words wont capture the stunningness.A man asked us while we were walking up the beach if we needed a lift up north, very nice of him, if we didn't have our own car we would surely have jumped in this mans car and driven up north with him. It seems safe.
Fishing was on the cards for today, so we went to the local Hardware, camping and fishing shop and asked about fishing spots. He sold us some bait and sent us to Bullocks Point. No luck there, another strange man spoke to us, and then sat on his boat and watched as we fished. We soon left and went to Carlo's Point (spelt with a c). It was sensational. Our firts catch was made by Carli and it was only the jaw of the fish, the rest of the fish disappeared (maybe a big fish ate it). Carli then caught another fish, which teh hook got stuck in and we had to use our highly developed brains to figure out how to get the hook out before the fish died so we could release the fish back into the ocean. Naturally, we suceeded and that fish will surely live another few years. Bec then proceeded to catch not one, not two but three fish. We are pretty sure they were brim. They had spikes.
After we ran out of bait, we went for a bushwalk. Bec made Carli run up a massive hill. Carli appreciated in the end. With legs shaking we then went to the beach and lay on the beach in the sun for a little while. Can not wait to reach the real sun and get to work on the tanning. We then used the free shower, which is also only one temperature, which is cold. Rather looking forward to a nice warm shower, and good old fashioned clean hair.
Currently we are tucked up in our tent, prepared for a colder night then last night. It was cold last night, hopefully we dont lose our toes in the cold tonight.
We have some awesome videos, so please watch this space and you can learn how to fish, according to Carli and Bec, as soon as we find some free internet. Until then, over and out.
Shout out to the fabulous Teddy, we wish you were here Teddy Bear!!! thanks for the message.
