We spent Sunday driving again our destination Hughenden. Sunday was a good drive, although it was a long way, we were on a little bit of a high and the drive seemed to fly. Bec may have been speeding again...We had a few more songs to keep us going this time. It's so surprising how much we have to talk about. Whoever is driving generally asks the other a lot of questions about things that the other one has no idea about. It's like the drivers seat is the curious seat and the passenger seat is the seat of knowledge. However, we dont usually answer any questions. Probably the funniest question was from Bec. "Where do big rocks come from? I mean rocks dont grow..." Carli was dumbfounded.
Hughenden is a town of 2000 people (according to Kirby). Kirby is a mate from Gove. He use to work on the mines out there and he would drink with Carli and her mates quite a few times. It was very nice of him to take us in for the night. He was a great host. He took us to the Royal Hotel in Hughenden. Let's just say, we owned the pool table that night. We won three out of four games against some local guys. It was hell fun and surprising.
Unfortunately we got to Hughenden too late to go out and see Kirby's farm. He said we can come back and go mustering with him. This sounds like heaps of fun for Carli as horse riding is one of her many talents. Bec has never been horse riding before, ever.
Hughenden was a nice friendly, quiet little town. Liked it alot.
