Carli and Bec
For years we have grasped the edge of control. Both of us being totally unable to strech just that little bit further to reach it, to gain control. Unable to grasp the control we long for, we settled for artificial control, the type which doesn't last, the type induced by illicit drugs, alcohol, excercise, food and sex. Some people use these things to distract themselves, to lose control, we use them because they are the only things we can control. We can control how much we want and how much we have. We can control when we stop and when we continue. We are in control and no one else is.
Both of us have been through things, some people hopefully never have to experience. Both of us have had our lives controlled by external parties who have impacted such huge blows on our lives and our souls that we have struggled to repair the damage. I've met others like us. Others whose lives have been ripped apart by things beyond their control. Things which essentially destroyed them.
Brought together by our lack of control and our burning desire to regain control of our lives, Bec and I have decided that we have a choice. We can either continue down this track, slowly becoming nothing more then what we have begun to believe we deserve or we can change, revamp and take control of what is rightfully ours, our lives.
We have learnt that things happen in life, sometimes they are our own fault, sometimes it's someone elses fault and sometimes its no ones fault. Things happen. Things happen that can potentially destroy you, but you always have a choice. You can always choose to live. you can always choose to not let it destroy you and that is what we are doing.
Join us on our trip, our revamp of our life. Our aim, to regain control and to take responsibility of our own mind, body and soul. Along the way, you might even learn how we got to this point. One day you might find yourself in the same position and hopefully you choose to take responsibility, regain control and live a life worth living.
