G'day I ahve bought the weather with me to OZ as it has rained for the last 2 and a half days, so I thinl they are lying when they say there is a drought. It has been a intersting week on saturday on the way back to Newcastle via Sydney I stopped off at blue mountains for a couple of hours. Then I got back to Newcastle at about 7, but I was to late to go and see the Knights game, I caught the lasy five mins in finnigans around the corner. I went back later to see the HUll game but they wouldn't let me back in because I was wearing shorts, and I am in oZ not the beach tree.
On Sunday I slept in, caught a local rugby comp, went for a walk and do what all OZes do and go swimming. This is because I had to get ouy of the volli house as there is a group of 5 japanese girls, and they make a proper racket, but they did make me some of the best food I have had in ages.
On monday we got split up into groups I got put with Steve "crocodile dundee martin" our teamleader who has an anicdote for every occasion ( I can't spell and I can't turn the italics off) The rest of the team was made up of Wayne a vicar from the blue mountains, who has offered to give everyone a tour if we visit, Max a German who sounds American, and two brothers from Belguim, one of the brothers Brier looks like a cross between prince William and Bradley off Eastenders, so for the first 2 days I couldn't look at him in the face without laughing. It took the odd dynamics of the group a little time to bond, but we hand to bond quickly as we sharing a picturess log cabin with a stunning view. The log cabin where we have been staying is just next to lake St.clair which is beautiful (sorry I haven't got any pics as the computer won't let me upload). Each night we had a BBQ cooked meal by Steve, then he would be in bed for 6!!. But Steve does know what he is talking about when it comes to the vast array wildlife us, and the stars at night, the sky is so clear you can see satelites orbiting the earth. Each night we played cards, and I have just finished reading a long way round, which has given me plenty of ideas for a another trip. This week we have been planting and weeding woo!! (big weeds) We got everything done by wednesday dinner and because of the rain we went to the pub, and the movies lucky for us there was no chick flicks on like sex and the city ( we saw tropic thunder) I have been on a state alert as we were in an area with brown snakes which are deadly, so I have been a bag of nerves, especialy that we found its shredded skin outside the hut. this weekend the CVA are taking us for dolphin cruise, fingers crossed the weather stays good.- comments
