I have just spent the week in Newcastle, and few days in Coffs harbour. The 7 hr bus journey was fun as I was the only person on the bus, I slept most of the journey, but now I am finding it hard to sleep in a bed!!! It has been nice to stay in one place without having to pack and unpack every other day.The OZ Newcastle is a bit like UK Newcastle, as there are quite a few fit unhealthy people, but I think that has a lot to do with the cold.Plus Chris I am two mins away from Jesmond and Hexham.I think I have explored Newcastle to its full extent.I still haven't been in the sea because it is far too cold. But when I come back next weekend I am going to see the Newcastle Knights. On Sunday there is quite a big car cruise, there is live music on the pier at the Brewery.Last night we went to the Brewery and had our free BBQ and then our team came 4th in the pub quiz, but we did come 1st after the first round, then it was the worst battle of the bands comp in the world ever!!!I have met the lady who is charge of the conservation project and she seems really nice.On Sunday we go down to Bathhurst, which is just west of Sydney for one week, and then we go back up to the Newcastle area for 3 weeks.Tonight I meet up with the rest of the group, and we are going to Port Harbour for Friday night, to do sand surfing, and they are going to go whale watching, personally I have spent two weeks looking for whales and I haven't seen one yet.Yesterday I went to Hunter Valley and went to the wineries, somehow I managed to get on the bus for a students fee (I must be looking younger), and again I was the only person on the bus, so I just talked to the driver for an hour.I really enjoyed the free wine and chocolate.I am missing not being able to watch the English football or Rugby, I still haven't seen Hull Cities goals yet.Mum I thought I would put some nice scenic pictures on for you so you can see what oz is like, for my next trip I think I want an SLR camera.
