Today we decided to travel further than Lanta Old Town, Just as we passed the town we noticed a little cafe which looked like it had amazing views so i got James to turn around and he went in for a drink (and an ice cream)
The view was amazing and you could see out to a small deserted island, I instantly thought i wanted to kayak out to it but James didn't comment back so i discarded the idea quickly!
We headed on further down the road and saw a spray painted wooded sign that said 'Best views, come visit!' So we did…
The drive was through winded roads and i wasn't too sure where we were going to end up, we reached the end and it didn't really look like too much so James turned around and we headed off
We were determined there would be a way we could drive around the whole of Ko Lanta but then we reached the end!
I don't know why but for some reason they just haven't decided to put a road at the end of the island which would allow you to drive round full circle, So instead we ended up in some local housing areas snd got some interesting stares.
We retreated back to the place with the 'best' views and decided to give it a 2nd chance.
I'm glad we did because it was awesome, all the villas were made to look like actual boats and they had a monkey that they had rescued, although it didn't look THAT happy.
We got some waters and took a seat over looking the sea, nothing as far as you could see.
They have a viewing point that went out onto the sea, which i quickly got attacked my a bug and rethought my idea of wondering across the fragile bridge on my own and ran back to James.
We took a walk along the pebbled beach and collected some shells to put in the basket of our moped and then decided to go over to the other side to some sand and have a little sunbathe.
But we both soon got restless and James ended up teaching me how to skim stones.
I've always wanted to do this and my dad is awesome at it and i can now do it! Well only 2 but its a start!
Successful day!
