We missed the first ferry but barely made the second. We had no idea it would take an hour and a half to get the port. Ahh big city life. The ferry ride was relaxing and had really pretty views. We arrived on time to Poros and promptly went in search of a beach. We also came find out the Temple of Poseidon is on this island, or at least one of them. While we found a suitable beach we never go up to see the temple which was a dissapointment. They had motor scooters that you could rent, but unfortunately they had to be rented for the day and the vendors couldn't understand why you would rent them for a couple hours, oh well. Being the thrifty students we are opted out of the scooters. I was trying to convince Dale that we could rent one and share it, but alas we was not going for it. After spending a couple hours at the beach we walked around the small island for a hour and went and had lunner (lunch-dinner) while we waited for the boat to show up. The ride back was even more enjoyable than the ride there because we had a cast of characters and a couple of the cheapest beers we have found yet in Greece, .5 euro for a 12 oz. can. We went back to the hostel picked up our things and decided to head out for Thessalniki on a night train.
