Hello everyone, it’s been a busy couple of weeks over here in the land of OZ what with working and nights out, man it’s a hard life.lol. For the past few weeks I’ve been working for a company called recall packing files into boxes and yes it’s as exciting as it sounds. But the moneys good and the lad’s im working with are good old boys which makes the day go a little quicker with their cockney banter.lol. The boys (Dave and Jake) are still working hard too putting up exhibitions at the Olympic stadium. I think Dave’s been in a fight every time he gets back from work with cuts and bruisers, he looks like he’s done ten rounds with Mike Tyson. And poor old Will lost his job on Thursday, it’s a cut throat business the telesales industry and if you don’t make a couple of sales a day they get rid of ya. But I’m sure something better will come up during the next week or so.
Seen as we are heading up the coast in a week or so we have been trying to watch the pennies on nights out so we have turned to a good old reliable 4 liter box of wine (its called goon and its $9 a box) to kick start the night. Man this stuff is nasty but it dose the trick so straight down the gullet it goes. So on Friday night we had a bit of a poker competition (me, Jake, Will and Dave) a few glasses of goon before hitting the town. The only problem was the game went on for a little longer than expected so come ten thirty when it was time to go out Jake and Will were to drunk to go, so it was left to the big guns to carry the team myself and Mr. Moore. Great night ended up down Darling Harbour. But on our return to the apartment we discovered Will wasn’t a well bunny and had been sick in bed and not only in bed but on my top too. Thanx for that mate.lol.
Anyway last night was the Mardi Gras festival in Sydney and apparently it’s the biggest event of the years so we decided to head up to Oxford st to see what it was all about. Lets just put it this way it wasn’t my cup of tea so to speak. With floats full of gays and lesbians dancing down the street and glitter everywhere. But thousand of people had turned out to see it (yeah and a lot of hot chicks 2) so it wasn’t that bad for all of the 20 minutes we were there. Afterwards we headed to our normal drinking hole the Gaff to take advantage of the free bar between the hours of ten and eleven. But come 12o’clock the effects of the night before started to kick in so I decided to call it a night and head back to the apartment watching my back all the way home.lol.
So tomorrow it’s back to work for one more stint before we head up the east coast to meet Nick and Miller in Brisbane. Can’t wait to go to Fraser Island and the Whitsundays so there should be a few stories to tell. Take care folks and bye for now.
