I'm not sure how to spell aderondacks. I don't think that's it! Well, that is where we are. Quite lovely! Today was all about the ride for me. 75 miles of hills and forest and damp. It was great!
I was hankering for something in particular to eat at both the 20 and 40 mile sags. I think it was because we had pizza and fruit for dinner last night, and no real protein source but gross-looking yogurt and cream cheese this morning. (I had a bagel and cream cheese for breakfast) the beef jerky at 40 miles didn't do it for me.
Great happiness--- Ann and Connie invited to join them at mile 50 for lunch. I had egg, hash brown and a pancake. (i'd been wanting a pancake since I heard the b&b folks got them the other day). I think the egg did it for me!! It was fun to eat with those ladies.
I rode the last 25 miles at my own pace, enjoying the forest, the river, and the light rain.
We're at old forge today. It's nice to have a motel room that looks out at something pretty (the lake). I'm in an aderondack (aha! Spell check to the rescue) chair now- enjoying a relaxing afternoon!
88 miles tomorrow I hear. I'm liking this end-of-ride challenge!!!
