Feeling unfairly treated by Womantours. Six of us got these rooms- everyone else got b&b rooms.
It was a really good thing I saw Sylvia, bob, and skyla - that made it a nice day.
The daty started wotj a bad cue. Both carolyn and mary thought it would be good to just go off the route as a result, and ride along the erie canal packed dirt path . Such a clam lovely morning. I'm glad we were there. The paved part of the path was OK -but not as soothing for some reason....
I rode with Ellen, and we had a good time exploring the route after our "lovely" detour through rocchester to visit womantours (and be in a publicity photo for the company). No jersey at the bike store, but lots of pretty farms and hills. We were stopped by the train right near the historic house where John Smith told about his visions. The ownder of the house sold lots of his property in order to publish the book of mormon. It was also the area where the angels visited other folks to verify the holiness of the texts. I'm glad we ended up stopping!
Free peaches at a farm stand. I shared mine with Sue because I knew that Ellen and I had gotten the last 2 ripe ones, and that they were too good not to have a taste. I felt good at the end of the ride.
After that, things went downhill for a while. Six of us were given barracks, while the rest of the group got lovely bed and breakfast type accommodations. I felt like my money was paying for someone else's vacation. To make matters worse, I called Womantours and Michlele, and neither returned my call. This made it hard for me to reach a conclusion about what to do with myself about the unfairness. I do think I was robbed of both some of my tour payment money, AND some of the goot time from my vacation. '
I'm so glad it was the day that Syliva and Bob visited me. I don't think I could have held it together for dinner with the group, hearing about the nice B&B and seeing the lovely area they got to spend time in.
We left sodus point (a pretty place, but something happened to make the fish die in mass???!!!) Back to the town 10 miles before, and had a really nice dinner. Sylvia and Bob took turns eating their nice food, and taking skill around for exploration. It was so good to see them.
