So for the last three days I've had plently of time to relax and do nothing before going back to teach at ABC's. I then suddenly hit a huge brick wall. My plan was to spend the whole month of June in Indonesia with Sierra, Rosie and Jewel; go to the Gilis and around Bali, then fly back to Siem Reap. The cost of the return flight was excellent so it would work in well. Trouble is, I also want to go to Laos. If I did that too then I wouldn't make it back in time to catch my flight home and would have no time to say goodbye to the school and everyone here. I phoned Trailfinders to enquire about flight changes and they said that if I wanted to change my return flight to the UK the next available flight wouldn't be until 4 weeks after the original one (11th August). This made my tummy go! I was only really thinking about extending my stay by two weeks to allow for Laos, not a whole month. I was then looking at cutting my stay in Bali to fit in Laos have 2 days here to say goodbyes then to fly back home from here in July as originally planned. I pretty much went to bed very confused and needing lots of advice. But I've decided! Because I'm here, I may as well do as much as I can, otherwise I would probably go home regretting it. So, I'm not actually scheduled to return to the UK until the 12th August - in time for Summer, I hope! It's quite a big step and now I've got tonnes to plan for for the 6 weeks after going to Indonesia - my flight from Bali to Chiang Mai is now booked so I will be travelling to northern Thailand on the 28th june and then on to Laos….. with the extra time I will still have time to spend at least a week with the kids back at school and possibly a detox retreat here before my return to the UK wooo!
