We packed up pretty early from redding and headed north. Found a state park just north of Klamath Falls that sounded cool. The 2 1-2 hour drive of course ended up being 5 hours after we stopped for fuel, potty breaks, a coffee for Mamas headache (!), lunch, fishing Licence, etc Took hwy 97 thru oregon instead of I-5. Finally left the dunes and Honeyman Park campground. What a place! Want to go back for sure. Down the road we went by some more of the most amazing coastlines and scenery. Just had our 3rd night at Honeyman state park. Our favourite stop so far. Got up thurs morning and (eventually) headed to the dune buggies No luck. Kids can't go with the "sandrails" which are the crazy 4 or 6 sweaters that FLY around the dunes. Too little. And the big slow dune buggies only go if there's 6-10 adults. Ok so not today.
