So today's the day! Got up and had breakfast at 8. Got picked up by the pick up truck at 9. There was only one other lady on the pick up called val who was about 65! She was travelling by herself! We ended up sticking with her all day! There was supposed to be 9 people on the trip but the other 6 people didn't show up! Drove 20 minutes to the Nam Song River which is part of the Mekong River. Got up 8.30, packed and had our last breakfast in Mixay at 9. Got on the pick up truck at half 9 and the coach at half 10. The bus was advertised at taking 3 hours but I knew it would be longer. It took 5 hours to get to Vang Veing. We got there at 3.30.
