We are having a lazy day. Jon was up at 04:00 am to accompany Justine to the airport for the start of her Bethel Mission trip in Calcutta that she is co leading. Our hosts Jon and Lori have gone back to the UK to renew their visa so here we are all alone!
I'm working my way through tasting Indian foods: Butter Chicken, Biriyani, Samosa, perfectly ripe mangoes, passion fruit and the sweetest bananas I've ever tasted.
Children go to school on Saturday, I've just seen the cutest group of little kids walking to school dressed in white shirts and orange ties. Not many of the kids in this neighbourhood seem to attend school; they've got no TV's mobiles, computer games or toys but they are playing tag, football and laughing like kids do all over the world.
I'm wearing big baggy trouser things today ( wish I could remember what they are called), they are incredibly comfortable and cool. Justine and I picked out our saris yesterday, thank goodness our Indian friend, Anusha was with us, we were clueless. She was able to haggle with the tailor and custom designed our bodices that are made to fit. Some of the saris were seriously Bollywood style, we've been told neon is in!

Ann Bayliff No I didn't go for neon as I wanted the chance to wear it again!
