These are a few of the lovely children from the Haven Home. As it's is too hot to study after 12:30 the kids have lessons until then, lunch and then they have a 2 hour siesta (they are up at 5:30), they then do their chores and then it's play time before they have to wash at 5:45 before devotions and then dinner at 6:30. Bed is at 9:00 but the older kids get to stay up until 11:00 and most of them study in that time.
I thought it would be nice to play with the girls, they decided that running games were just the ticket for me. After playing Duck, Duck, Goose, What's the time Mr Wolf and any other game I could recall from my kids childhood (and mine), I was knackered and I can hardly walk today! It's hard to describe how much love these kids bring! Jon asked if he could teach them a song on his guitar, hearing over 100 beautiful children singing "If I were a butterfly" made my heart sing!
Last night we drove nearly 2 hours to a small village where the local Pastor had gathered his flock of about 100 people to hear Jon preach! After teaching them how to pray for one and other for healing, healings broke out in power but then most of the crowd wanted us to pray for them. I ended up with hoards of women all jostling, poking and prodding me to pray for them. I would say most of them had knee pain and headaches-all were healed, probably about 30 women including Hindus! I was born to do this! Finally we finished at 10:30 but we weren't done yet! Then we had to eat the meal provided- a full meal! I can feel myself blobbing out! I won't talk about my hole in the ground next to the snoring man toilet experience!
Today is a rest day until this evening when we will visit another village, 2 hours away!
