Woke up late today so we could recover from the street party the night before. Weather was still not great, but we didn´t mind as we were going to a football match in the Maracana stadium. The game was between Flamengo (the biggest Rio side) and Portuguesa. The atmosphere in the stadium was insane, even before the match had kicked off! We both lost a bet as we predicted the wrong final score, it was a really exciting game, the final score was 2-2. All the locals got really worked up during the game luckily we didn´t celebrate when Portuguesa scored otherwise we literally would have got beats! We will upload pics and videos soon. Whilst Anika was hooked on the actual game, Nish found herself distracted by other things (see pics and video). We both agree it was one of the best days so far.
