We landed in Rio on saturday morning and headed straight out to explore the area. Booked a few excursions for the week and soaked in the rio atmosphere.

Unfortunately Anika realised she had left her camera charger at home and Nish realised her phone charger didnt work!! Good one... As you can see there are no photo´s uploaded... thats because today we have realised the chip reader does not work. Electrical appliances are not our strong point!!

We really made the most of our first night in Rio- We dined in style- MacDonalds!! (hey, we´re on a budget yeh?) and we were in bed by 8.30!! Before you take the mick- we were up bright and early at 6.30am for our excursion!

Thats enough about our first day- there was one incident which we have decided to keep from you as we are afraid that we´ll never live it down!! You can beat it out of us when we´re home!!!
