The whole troop headed down to Cheltenham Beach undeterred by the rather overcast start to the day. Mum and Erica built sandcastles for Charlie to destroy whilst the men folk and myself had a refreshing Christmas day swim. Once dry and de-sanded we moved base camp up to the top of the neighbouring North Head and cracked open the sparkly and the picnic. If it wasn't for the fact we were all missing absent family members it would have been an idyllic day. The sun came out as we lazed on the grass enjoying our lunch, the views and each other's company. The heady combination of sun and mid day drinks got to the better of the women and all four of us fell asleep [Charlie's tipple being milk of course!]
We returned home to put the roast dinner on and to assist Charlie with part III of her present opening, she has got so many lovely things thanks everyone! After our big roast and traditional Christmas pud we said good night to little lady and sat out on the terrace enjoying the sun set and mine and Pete's misfortune [red back and red face].
