We started the day with a visit to a shoe shop in Ponsonby to get Charlie some sandals for summer, unfortunately she had fallen asleep in the car and woke up in a bit of a grump. Shoes chosen, coffee and cake consumed, whiteys avoided we headed to the Domain. [In my opinion Domain translates directly as park but Harry will give you a differing and more protracted explanation!] Once there we tried to have a relaxing picnic underneath a big palm tree but Harry and I spent most of our time retrieving and running after Charlie who seemed intent on throwing herself in an ornamental pond!

After lunch Harry decided it was time for a nap and, perhaps a little naively we tried to get Charlie to have a sleep with us in the park... this was a foolish plan! We eventually aborted and decided to head to the beach. At Mission Bay we embarked on another rather optimistic plan of sharing a tranquil drink together, ha ha ha will we never learn! Harry ended up on the beach with Charlie whilst I sipped my wine and watched them play.
