Our planned activity, play in the park was cancelled due to rain [in fact there was no rain and it was pretty sunny but you never know in Auckland] so 9 ladies and 9 toddlers came to play at our house. The old fisher price garage was the biggest hit with both nostalgic mums and busy toddlers who found it so entertaining they forgot to squabble for a while! Worryingly the older children showed Charlie a few new ways of creating mischief in the house, Margot for example taught her how to turn the lamp on and Rue demonstrated how to open the door to the stairs. When everyone left I had a very tired Charlotte on my hands and a living room floor that was barely visible from all the toys and discarded food strewn over it!

Harry / Simon left the house at 7o'clock to meet up the ladies partners, none of whom he'd met before at the local pub quiz. Will find out how he got on soon....
