Today we were going back into the Red Square for a tour. We met our guide Svetlana, who then took us to the Armoury where she told us about the Russian Tsar's. It was an amazing museum, which she told us was usually really busy during the summer and that we were very lucky to be here at this time so we were able to see the main exhibitions. After the armoury we were walking up to the cathedrals when we were told by the Russian Guards to stop. Not knowing why we soon heard sirens and coming in our direction. A short time later we then saw the parade of police cars followed by a black stretch limo, which had the Russian President in it and we could actually see him in the car. We were trying to take pictures by the guards stopped us.
We were finally allowed to pass once the Presidents car was out of view. We walked up the street further where our guide gave us some more information before going in to the Kremlin to look at the cathedrals. After the cathedrals we went and looked at the biggest bell in the world, then looked at the biggest cannon in the world, which I found funny that they bell had never been rung and the cannon had never been fired because they were both to big.
After the tour, which we all found really good and then over to the Goom for lunch at a Soviet style canteen. The food was typical Russian food and it was really good. Glenn, Erin and I then caught the metro to the Revolutionary Museum, which was not too far from the apartment. After going through the museum, which had lots of exhibitions on Russian history. It was a really good museum. After the museum we went to a café to try the hot chocolate and some cake. Yum!
We then went back to the apartment to meet the group for dinner. We went to another Soviet style restaurant called My My (pronounced Moo Moo). After dinner we called it a night.
