Today we were catching a overnight train to St Petersburg, but as the train wasn't until later that night we had to go and store our bags at the train station. It was peak hour at the time so trying to get on the metro with our bags was not a fun exercise. We arrived at the station and went down to the luggage store and put our bags in. We then went to the Red Square to look at Lenin's mausoleum. After going through security we went through and looked at Lenin. I found it a bit morbid looking at a dead guy, who has been dead for over 80 years. We then went over to look at St Basils. I ran into JP and Kerry after going through the church and went and had lunch with them at the Goom before going with them to Gorky Park.
Gorky Park was not that interesting it was so icy that we kept slipping over. We also went into the Communist Statue Park and then walked over to the river to look at the Peter the Great statue. We ran into Glenn and Erin who joined us. JP and Kerry went on to the Revolutionary Museum, where Glenn, Erin and I went back to the station to use the Internet and get something for dinner.
We met the group just before 10pm, got our bags from storage then boarded the train to St Petersburg. This time I was sharing with Brad and Pam. As soon as we got on the train we made our beds and pretty much went straight to sleep.
