Well hello everyone just the end of my third week in Vietnam (Tam Ky). Its going well i am really starting to get into it. Vietnam is amazing and it could not be more different from home.
This week i have played Vietnamese pool, eaten stomach, banana flower (spicy) and a few meats of which animals i am not sure but i can assure you they were nice lol. On Wednesday night i went out with Mr Tuan (placement manager) and two other of his mates. We drank some cheap beer, has some food at a stall and played some pool. This week i also went for a 20km run with mr tuan (yes dad 20km). I am still alive just, the heat didnt help i dont think lol. I am pleased to say that i am not longer fat (as murray likes to joke lol).

At the baby orphanage we have played sport, did face painting and dressing up. I have also had some request of some 'in action' teaching shots, i will do my best to get these.

Teaching at Home of Affection is going well, the children in this class are young and only learning ABC which means their attention span is only about 20 minutes so games and colouring in are important parts of the learning process for them. They seem to really like Bingo and hangman.

Teaching at Tam Thanh is harder because the kids are older and there are more of them. But i have found if i plan ahead of what i am going to teach i.e. decided what subject to teach and possibly copy some work sheets and play some relevant games. Some of the kids are really quite intelligent. Its really a challenge for me this class but one i am well up for.

Today i met some other westerns who are living in Tam Ky. A french girl called Cloe contacted me through my blog. I went for drink with her, simon (boyfriend) and Pierre (friend). It was great to meet some other westerners in Tam Ky.

The plan this weekend it to go on a free tour of 'My Son' with a friend who does tours from Hoi An on Saturday morning and then go back to Hoi An for the evening to go to the beach party and chill out. Anyway i hope everyone is good. Thanks for all the messages.
