Today we woke up a bit later than usual, cause we had nothing planned to do today. We packed our bags, and then Jean drove us down the road to this public estate called Kenwood.
Ken - wood, due to it having a forest on the estate. It was funny how there is this massive area with a massive house right in the middle of the city, but it was nice.
There was this nice view of the entire city, from Kenwood, and if you were on the London Eye, you would see exactly the opposite direction.
When we got home, we got in the car to go to the train station. On the way we passed George Michaels House, Sting's house, the director of Monty Python's house, some other british actors house, and actually next door live the two lead actors in the TV show True Blood.
Pretty famous area apparently, Karl Marx is also buried in the cemetary. Haha
So we got a train from Caladonian Road station straight to terminal 5 Heathrow.
That took an hour, when we got to the airport, we checked in, went through security, and got some food. We went to a restaurant called Giraffe, which was really nicce, very busy, but we got our food just in time to go to our gate. There was also a Win a Supercxar competition, a Ferari and Porsche were parked in the airport, and you could buy a ticket for just 20pounds!!!!
The plane was extremely fast, only 45 minutes in the air, to Paris, which was nice, we could see the English channel as we flew over even though it was cloudy.
When we arrived, we took the train to Gare du nord, and then the metro to Pigalle, it took about 20minutes just to walk to platform 2, cause apparently it was on the other side of Paris. Haha
At Pigalle, we walked around a bit in the rain, before we got a map and found the hotel.
We checked in, then got some food for dinner, before we watched Top Gear and then went to sleep.
The hotel is pretty nice, really small, even smaller than Kyriad family, but everything is new so its pretty nice, it also has the worlds smallest lift, capacity 3 people, max weight 225kg, so it struggled a bit going up with all our luggage.
I was really impressed the way Trudy talked to the girl at the Maccas (we didn't have maccas for dinner though, I had a chicken panini, and trucdy had pizza and salad.) and the guy at the ticket both for the trains in French, she can make good sentences if she tries.
