10th august.
Yesterday morning after breakfast, we had to go and buy train tickets for London for today. Got those in Wareham.
So afterwards we drove to Swanage, in the rain, which was a bit annoying, but it was cool and kinda what I expected the weather to be like.
In Swanage, we walked around, looking at some places that Verity and David knew from back in the day, but also places Trudy's gran and mum had been and stuff.
We went to No. 76, where Trudy's great Uncle Andrew lives, had a look outside, but didn't go in.
There's an old convent there, a couple church's etc.
At around ¼ past 11, we drove to a little village called Church Knowle, we walked along this little pathway through the country, and saw a couple of really vicious dogs.. haha
Anyway, at 12, we met up with Andrew, and Larry, Trudy's Gran's uncle for lunch.
Trudy and I had bangers and mash for real this time, they were quite good, and also some Spotted d*** for dessert.
It was still raining afterwards, so we said goodbye to Andrew and Larry, and headed back to Swanage.
We did some shopping, looked at some little shops, and went to the train station, and saw a massive old stem engine train come in, it was definitely the coolest train i'd seen, it was just massive.
After seeing the train, we took a stroll along the waterside, almost to the pier, but it was closed. There was heaps of people fishing, sailing, eating, and Trudy was looking at rocks.
She tried to skip them, but is really terrible.
All the boats in the water, and the mist with the cliffs in the background looked really nice.
…
When we got back, me and Trudy took a walk through the woods, to find her mum's childhood house, we definitely took the long way, cause it took ages, and it was supposed to be around 1 mile, but we didn't get lost, which was a plus.
So we start walking down the driveway of the house we think was the right one, and a car comes with a dude in it, the owner, and we tell him that Trudy's mum used to live here, and he said to go have a look...when we realised it was the wrong house, we kept going.
We did find it eventually, nice driveway down to the house, no one was there but we still looked around.
There was also one of those rope/ obstacle course things out the front which we had a bit of fun on before heading home.
Chicken Mignon for dinner, talked a bit,, packed our bags for today, and then went to sleep.
