24/10 Arrived in Rotorua, not impressed with the hostel! It's more like a cheap holiday chalet the sheets were questionable and you didnt dare go in the bathroom without your flipflops! Plus you had to go and ask reception for your cutlery and plate tray everytime you wanted to use something felt like a throwback to school! 21/10- Left Napier and headed up to Taupo went to town to catch the bus to the Craters of the Moon (thermal place) when who should come running over but Rhiannon our Welsh friend!! Bit of a surprise to see her! Got to the craters and had a walk around taking in the bubbling mud pools and stream craters. 5.45am start!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not much was said until we got on the train and had a nap! Lovely train ride along the coast of the Pacific which was so blue. Also got to see Seals on the rocks at the side of the track which was pretty cool. 4 Old dears started chatting to us asking where we were from etc and even when Alex feigned sleep and Kate put headphones in (big hint!) they kept patting us on the arm asking us questions!! Monday 15th- HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE! 23 TODAY! Bless Kate got up at 6.30am to walk up the hill to speak to her folks except found out her mum had already tried to ring her and left a voicemail saying she'll try again after Strictly Come Dancing!!!! 45minutes later sat on a tree stump she finally rings! Almost frozen! Signal was that crap Kate ended up making a collect call from the phonebox to the UK! Her mum was not too happy, also was tempted to ring Joe this way...

On the road again after spending yest all day in the internet cafe putting the photos on!! On our way to Dunedin, very tired after woken up by the girls coming in at 1.30am! Arrived in Dunedin the student city and went on the Cadbury tour.
