Monday 15th- HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE! 23 TODAY!

Bless Kate got up at 6.30am to walk up the hill to speak to her folks except found out her mum had already tried to ring her and left a voicemail saying she'll try again after Strictly Come Dancing!!!! 45minutes later sat on a tree stump she finally rings! Almost frozen! Signal was that crap Kate ended up making a collect call from the phonebox to the UK! Her mum was not too happy, also was tempted to ring Joe this way but somehow thought his mum might flip! She finally got back to the hostel where Alex was about to send out the search party and opened her cards, she shed a little tear over Joe Joe's xx Had some brekky then her brother Ali rang so yet another arse it up the hill for reception!

Had a walk to the church of the Good Shepherd and the dog statue on the edge of Lake Tekapo, ever so slightly windy! Chilled out in the afternoon as not that much to do here! Went out for dinner to the only restaurant in town had a really nice relaxing birthday and Alex bought her a cheesecake to celebrate!

16th Oct- Set off on the coach to Christchurch again, pretty boring driver and we didnt stop anywhere enroute so arrived back in town at lunchtime. Caught the bus back to Kat and Damo's and told them about our adventures including the bungy and watched Alex's DVD which is hilarious! Went for a curry with them and Fi and Ben, Alex retold her Popeye the hamster story and had everyone in stitches! Kat had also bought us some goodies from the English shop including Skips, Chocolate Digestives and Refreshers! Rang Joe Joe then headed to bed, early start for the train tomorrow!!!!!!!
